Being a musician, one of your most valued possessions is your instrument. You have to be very responsible for it, and protect it from harm’s way. Larger instruments, like the keyboard, are harder to carry around when traveling frequently to perform in different places. The solution to all these problems? A case.
Cases come in different forms and can be made from different materials. Depending on the quality, a good case for keyboard can protect your instrument from external damage, dust, and bad weather conditions. Depending on the material they are made from, they can generally be divided into hard cases and gig bags. Hard cases are usually better endurance-wise and they protect the instrument from hard impact, which makes it safe to put in a trunk. They also have enough space in them to carry around additional accessories like pedals and power supplies.
Many manufacturers will create a specifically designed hard case for keyboard, according to the type of keyboard you use and some other personal preferences like colour, branding and imaging. Detachable wheels are also a great feature, since keyboards are not the most lightweight of instruments, the option to drag them around sounds amazing, doesn’t it? Here’s my three personal recommendations for keyboard cases.

This one is made of polyethylene which is almost indestructible and has four TSA locking latches (two locking) designed for air travel. It is made with a unique block design and wedge for customizing it’s interior. Plus, its ergonomic and comfortable handles are made of rubber and a continuous valance with a black powder coated hardware.
